Rockwell Software® RSTestStand™ Enterprise Honored With 2003 Control Engineering Editors' Choice Award

Editors select Rockwell Software design tool as one of the top 35 new products of 2003

MILWAUKEE, January 15, 2004 - Control Engineering announced today that Rockwell Automation is the recipient of a 2003 Control Engineering Editors' Choice Award for Rockwell Software® RSTestStand™ Enterprise. The Rockwell Software design tool allows users to describe, test and implement a manufacturing control system. More specifically, RSTestStand Enterprise users are able to lay out and verify the logical interaction between controllers and their environment, identify problems with control system design, propose remedies to problems and test the results.

Control Engineering editors selected RSTestStand Enterprise as one of 35 award winners from thousands of new products featured in the 2003 issues of the magazine. Criteria used to select the winners includes: service to the industry, technological advancement and market impact.

"These awards honor the most significant innovations featured in Control Engineering during the past year," said Mark Hoske, Control Engineering editor-in-chief. "RSTestStand Enterprise clearly meets this criteria - it helps improve startup time and reduce costs by allowing users to test designs in a virtual environment before the actual installation and commissioning."

Control Engineering has presented the Editors' Choice Awards annually for the past 17 years. This year the magazine has added the Engineers' Choice Awards, where the magazine's subscribers will determine which of the 35 Editors' Choice Award winners will receive one of the eight Engineers' Choice Awards. These winners will be announced at the National Manufacturing Week awards ceremony in February 2004.
